The 10 year bond quote details we receive from Bear Stearns are incorrect. The problem has been traced back to an error at the exchange which Bear Stearns is working to resolve. In the meantime, we've removed instances of the 10 year bond around our site as the data is inaccurate. Our team continues to follow-up on this investigation, and will return the 10 year bond quote to the site as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We're pleased to announce that as of today, we've begun a series of upgrades to our historical data. The new, broader and deeper data set will continue to evolve over the coming weeks. Here are more details that will help you in your stock research during the transition period:

• Moving Averages and Relative Strength is currently only supported in the Advanced Chart. Support for these measurements in the Classic Chart is coming soon.
• Support for UK securities will lapse as of March 15th. Historical data from March 15th prior will be supported, but we will not be able to provide historical prices beyond that for a short time. When development on our new UK data set is completed, we will be able to offer up-to-date historical prices on the LSE.
• New features include support for historical returns on Canadian securities and historical prices for UITs.
• Also coming soon, we'll be introducing data back to 1968 (where applicable) and providing historical data for futures, spot rates and some bonds.

We've color coded the volume bars in charts to help you quickly discern whether or not spikes in volume impact a stock's price. Trading intervals that close up in price will have a green volume bar whereas those intervals that close down will have a red volume bar. Many of you have been asking how to remove items from the "Recent Quotes" section of the scrolling ticker found at the top of the quotes page. Now, by simply hovering your mouse over any item scrolling in the ticker, a small red frame will appear around that item with a red "X" showing on the upper right. Just click the red "X" and the item will be removed. It's that simple.

DailyFinance pages come equiped with a search bar that allows you to search for stock quotes, news and articles. In fact, it is on the top of this page right now.

The search bar has two different settings. The first will allow you to search for a stock quote (this is the default setting). Make sure the "Get Quote" text is gray, then enter the symbol where it says "Enter ticker symbol, company or fund" and click the blue search button.


The second setting allows you to search for news and articles. To switch to this setting, click on the "Search DailyFinance" text until it turns gray. Next, enter the search term in the search bar (which now has the text "Search DailyFinance News) and click the blue search button.

This search is great for finding older articles or just for research.
